My grandparents owned a massive VHS camcorder.
I eventually worked up the skill to nick it from a closet long enough to write and direct my first film, “The Legend of Zelda.”
The sound was from a Super Nintendo console and Zelda was played by a dog.
Thousands of mowed lawns and Pokemon card trades later, I was able to buy my first camera.
That’s pretty much what I’m still doing.
